We would like to hear from an enthusiastic potential new colleague, looking for exciting development opportunities and progression within our well established Independent Small Animal Veterinary Hospital, based in the county town of Bedford.
We are passionate about providing the highest standards of care and customer service and are equally passionate about developing our team.
This position would suit someone with a sound knowledge of small animal medicine and surgery, and with a keen interest in developing their skills in an independent hospital setting – further development will be encouraged. Case continuity, collaboration and a great work-life balance are an integral part of our culture.
Shift pattern:
This is a full or part time permanent role (up to 37.5hrs per week) including 1:4 Friday night hospital patient cover and Saturday daytime (this element is non-negotiable). We provide our own 24hr emergency care throughout the week except for Fri/Sat/Sun nights where VetsNow provide the cover therefore, the Friday night is in-patient care only as we keep our hospital patients on-site and do not transfer patients to VetsNow.
This position would suit a 2-5year post grad candidate with UK experience (we’re not currently sponsoring visas but will consider migrant workers with settled status).
Someone with a medical/imaging bias might be a good fit! Or a good all-rounder happy to really cement their GP skills – with a view to development within the team in terms of leadership/management +/- certificates. We are a large independent hospital team and surgical time is therefore diluted so this vacancy might not suit someone who wants daily surgery but they will have regular weekly rota'd opportunities for surgery and will need to have sound soft tissue/emergency experience for this role. This position does have senior/director back up on the Friday night.
Starting salary FTE: £42,000 to £55,000 (DOE)
