Here at innocent, we’re on a mission to make it easier for everyone to get more fruit and veg into their bodies. We started back in 1999 and since then we’ve gone from selling a few smoothies at a music festival to becoming one of Europe’s biggest drinks companies with around 1,000 people (and the B Corp seal of approval).
It’s nice to be able to say things like that but we’re not patting ourselves on the back just yet. We want to show everyone that it’s possible to be a successful business while looking after people and the planet too, so we’re trying to get better in pretty much every way. And that’s where this job comes in.
what you'll be doing:
Here in the creative team, we come up with lots of ideas and stick them on a lot of different things. Sometimes that might be a billboard or a bottle. Other times it might be a booklet or a banana. Every once in a while, we'll put those ideas on something that doesn't begin with a b.
We’re on the hunt for an experienced packaging designer who's brimming with ideas and knows how to bring them to life on pack in a way that feels truly 'innocent'. Reporting into our senior packaging designer, your job is to design some excellent packaging that brings to life our brand across a mix of exciting innovation and existing ranges. You’ll be a great designer who’s a packaging specialist, with solid experience of working across different formats, full of amazing ideas as well as packaging specific knowledge.
You'll be:
- Leading design projects across innovations and existing ranges, as well as supporting more senior designers on bigger projects
- Working with other members of our creative team to come up with brilliant packaging across Europe
- A good team player, you’ll be comfortable working with lots of people, partnering with packaging experts internally and externally to get the best packaging on shelf for our drinkers
- Presenting and selling ideas to key stakeholders and marketing people
What you'll be working on:
Packaging, both primary and secondary. Occasionally, there might be a few other things you support on, from internal bits to helping out on a comms project or two. But the main focus of your time will be packaging.
You'll have:
- A nice portfolio of work that shows the strength of your ideas as well as your design craft
- A natural eye for making packaging look amazing
- The ability to manage projects from start to finish in a timely and efficient way
- A decent understanding of our brand
- Experience of working to packaging guidelines, both creative and technical
- An attention to detail that a brain surgeon would be proud of
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build great relationships with everyone you work with
- A strategic mind
You'll get:
- To flex your creative muscles on an iconic brand
- To deliver packaging for drinkers all over Europe
- To be part of a strong in house creative team
- Loads of free smoothies (obviously)
We want innocent to be a great place to work, so we do lots of stuff to make people feel at home and try to make sure everyone’s career is shaping up the way they want it to. There are plenty of opportunities to have a go at something new or take things further.
In exchange for helping us do business in the right way, you’ll get a solid rewards package that includes a salary (phew), private healthcare, a target-based bonus, and a bunch of other nice things like a day off on your birthday. And yes, you get free smoothies.
We also know that not all our drinkers come from the same background, or think the same – so why should we? At innocent, we want to be a great place to work where a diverse bunch of people from all backgrounds can turn up and thrive. When we hire, we want all the juice, bits, and pulp that make you who you are.
Even if you don’t think you can tick all the boxes, if the job sounds right for you, come and throw your hat in the ring.
Probably best to get your skates on though, as we might close this early if we get loads of applications.
