Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our family run golf club. The ideal candidate will have a background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for food safety and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, delivering high-quality meals to our valued members. Candidates should possess relevant kitchen experience and a genuine enthusiasm for creating delicious dishes that meet our standards of excellence.
This role will require working both weekdays, weekends and some evenings, depending on the club calendar.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of supply needs
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Serve meals to customers when required, providing excellent customer service
- Follow health & safety regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of quality
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to different menus, dietary requirements, and special requests
- Experience in restaurant or catering environments is highly desirable, along with serving skills for customer interaction

Pay: £12.21-£16.00 per hour
