About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, professional and customer-focused Retail Security Officer to join our team at B&Q Harlow.
The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues and the store. You will be expected to provide a visible security presence, respond professionally to incidents and support the store team when required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a professional and visible security presence within the store.
Help protect customers, colleagues and company property.
Monitor and respond appropriately to security incidents.
Deter theft and assist with the prevention of loss.
Complete incident reports and other required documentation.
Communicate effectively with store management and the security team.
Follow company and site security procedures.
Use basic IT systems and mobile applications to complete daily tasks and reports.
Maintain a professional and customer-friendly approach at all times.
Essential Requirements
Good communication skills.
Good spoken and written English.
Basic IT skills, including the ability to use mobile apps, Outlook and other basic computer systems.
Professional, reliable and punctual.
Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
A customer-focused approach.
A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence.
