Support Worker, Rockliffe Court, Darlington – Complex Care
Full-Time & Part-Time Hours Available - £14.72 per hour
An exciting opportunity has arisen within SJOG Hospitaller Services for experienced Support Workers to join our specialist complex care service at Rockcliffe Court in Hurworth, Darlington.
You will work as part of a dedicated team in a 2:1 staffing capacity, providing high‑quality, person‑centred support to a gentleman with learning disabilities and complex needs. The role requires a compassionate, flexible approach and includes working night shifts as part of a rota.
The plan is for the gentleman to transition from his current family home in Middlesbrough. This process will involve staff working collaboratively with existing providers who support him in his day service and at home. The transition period is expected to last approximately 6–8 weeks, after which he will settle into his long-term home in Darlington.

Essential Criteria:
- QCF Level 3 in Adult Health & Social Care
- Experience of working with people with autism.
- Experience of supporting people with a Positive Behaviour Support approach.
- Ability to respond to guidance and direction.
- Experience of developing support plans.
- Experience of the key worker role.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Able to provide personal care.
- Able to work flexible hours including weekends, nights etc according to the needs of the people in service.
- Able to drive with a full UK driving licence
- Participate where necessary in social activities, outings/holidays with people using the service.
- Maintain confidentiality, honesty and reliability.
- Accessible, approachable and comfortable with vulnerable people.
