Converging Solutions aim to be the first choice for end of line pack handling equipment. We are a 'clean' manufacturing business that design and assemble bespoke machinery for the food industry.
We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and driven Apprentice Mechanical Assembly Technician.

This is an awesome opportunity to take the first steps into a Mechanical Engineering role. With various apprenticeship opportunities on offer depending on the level appropriate for your age and skill/experience. Standard routes being a day release to a local college for 2 or 3 year apprenticeship. Full training given, with a great opportunity to build a foundation and progress in a dynamic and growing company.
The Role:
- To work within the Production and sub assembly team to produce all our products efficiently and cost effectively.
- To ensure all machines are assembled correctly and safely from a kit of parts.
- Machine to be assembled hand tools and basic power tools using templates and machine build manuals and models.
- Starting off with sub assembly and basic mechanical assemblies, fitting bearings, nut and bolting parts together, all with instruction and showing best practice.
- Fitting of motors, timing belts and pulleys.
- Building and assembling Conveyors and similar machinery, with full training and instruction given.
- To make certain all machines are built to the highest of standards and leave the factory on time.
- With a focus on standard machinery and production machines to build up common knowledge of our standards and assist with training and development.

We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a fast paced and exciting environment. Whilst you will be required to work on your own initiative, it is essential that you enjoy being part of a small team and are willing to support others at challenging times. Key skills include:
- Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to build relationships quickly.
- The ability to be diverse and manage multiple tasks at once.
- Able to follow logical processes.
- Experience of mechanical assembly or similar would be an advantage. However training will be given to a keen individual who is looking to learn.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15,600.00-£24,784.50 per year
