Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Tire Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing tyres on a variety of vehicles. This role requires physical strength, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail to ensure safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities
- Remove and replace tyres using appropriate hand and power tools
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and defects, and advise on repairs or replacements
- Balance tyres to ensure smooth vehicle operation
- Perform wheel alignments when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Assist with tyre inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of tyre and wheel systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers
- Experience with power tools relevant to tyre fitting and repair
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling tyres and wheels
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
