We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify faults and issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine work, brake repairs, suspension, and electrical diagnostics.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs with precision.
- Document all work performed accurately in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair requirements and vehicle status.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Experience in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
- Familiarity with power tools used in vehicle repair work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology are desirable but not essential; on-the-job training will be provided for apprentices.
