Deputy Venue Manager
40 hours per week
£28,000 per annum
Venue: Signing Tree Venue / Deaf Cultural Centre
We are looking for a practical, hands-on Deputy Venue Manager to join our small, friendly team supporting the day‑to‑day running of the Signing Tree Venue. Working alongside the Venue Manager and Chef, you will help deliver exceptional conferences and hospitality services.
This is an active, operational role where you will be involved in room setups, customer service, IT/AV support, hospitality delivery, stock handling, and ensuring high standards across the venue. You’ll also deputise for the Venue Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing excellent face‑to‑face customer service
- Assisting with hospitality, food service, and basic food preparation
- Handling stock, deliveries, and maintaining venue presentation
- Supporting IT/AV setup and troubleshooting
- Opening and closing the building and ensuring safety compliance
- Working collaboratively with a small team and taking hands‑on responsibility

Desirable Experience
We welcome applicants who have experience in:
- Conference, events, or venue operations
- Hospitality, catering, or food service
- Basic AV/IT setup or meeting‑room technology (desirable but not essential)
