The Role
As a Bank Senior Care Assistant, you'll provide additional support to the home when required, helping to cover periods such as holidays, sickness and other staffing needs.
When working a shift, you'll take a senior role within the care team, helping to ensure exceptional, person-centred care is delivered.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting the care team during your shifts
- Administering medication safely
- Updating and reviewing care plans
- Supporting, coaching and mentoring colleagues
- Completing staff supervisions and return-to-work discussions where required
- Ensuring residents receive outstanding care in a safe, welcoming environment
- Providing reliable and flexible cover to support the needs of the home
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or an experienced Care Assistant ready for the next step
- NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
- Medication administration experience
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Flexibility to pick up shifts based on the needs of the home
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care

Convenient Location
Layston Grove is easily accessible via the A10 and is within commuting distance of Bishop's Stortford, Stevenage, Royston, Letchworth Garden City, Ware, Hertford and surrounding villages. Local bus routes also provide access to the home.

You must have the legal right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we cannot offer visa sponsorship for this position.
As this is a bank position, hours are not guaranteed and shifts will be offered based on the needs of the home. Flexibility and reliability are therefore important for this role.
