We are seeking a dedicated part-time Cleaner to join our team at King Edward VII School across both our Upper and Lower School sites. This role is vital in maintaining a clean and safe environment that supports our educational mission and promotes well-being within our school community.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks to ensure classrooms, hallways, and common areas are hygienic and well-maintained.
- Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies effectively.
- Follow health and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment.
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
- Support the overall cleanliness of the school to foster a welcoming atmosphere.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards related to cleaning.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual attitude.
- Previous experience in a school or educational environment is advantageous.
The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in classrooms, science rooms, design and technology rooms, toilets and other areas around School. This post is based across both the Lower School building on Darwin Lane, and Upper School building on Glossop Road.
