Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Car Transport & Detailing Operator to join our small team. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of vehicles, as well as providing professional detailing services to ensure vehicles meet our high standards.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility, excellent customer service skills, and experience in vehicle handling and cleaning. This position offers an engaging work environment where attention to detail and safety are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including 7.5t lorry and 4X4 with trailer, for transporting cars between locations.
- Conduct thorough cleaning and detailing of vehicles, including washing, vacuuming, polishing, and interior cleaning.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the storage area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and answering queries professionally.
- Assist with vehicle inspections before and after storage to ensure quality standards are met.
- Follow all safety procedures during vehicle handling and detailing processes, along with moving vehicles on site.
- Keep accurate records of vehicle movements and detailing work completed using custom software.
Skills
- Minimum of C1 driving qualification. CPC highly desirable, but not essential.
- Proven experience in transporting high value cars safely and responsibly.
- Previous detailing experience is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality vehicle presentation.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically fit, capable of lifting light equipment, being mobile at all times of the working day.
