Location: On-Site, Rittal- CSM Ltd, Plymouth.
Salary: £31,000 - £34,000 dependant on qualifications and experience (plus shift premium of 25%)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 13:50 - 22:00
Hours: 37.9 hours per week

The Opportunity
Rittal-CSM is seeking a proactive and highly organised Production / Material Controller to join our Work Preparation team.
This is a key role within our manufacturing operation, responsible for ensuring production schedules are achievable, efficiently planned, and effectively executed. Working closely with production teams, suppliers, and warehouses, you'll help maintain the flow of materials and products required to meet customer demand and business objectives.
In addition to production control activities, you'll provide support to Material Control when required, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working across multiple functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain finite production schedules across manufacturing work centres.
- Conduct capacity planning checks and identify potential constraints.
- Produce and analyse production reports to support operational performance.
- Ensure components and materials are available for the next stage of production.
- Monitor lead times, product availability, and key operational KPIs.
- Ensure processes are documented, controlled, and auditable.
- Develop and maintain procedures within the company's quality management system.
- Manage deliveries from external warehouse locations.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve material shortages and stock issues.
- Provide cover and support for Material Control activities as required.
Qualifications & Experience

- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent qualifications.
