We are refurbing and updating our restaurant next month and are looking for a creative chef to join our kitchen team. We cook and bake as much as we can using local ingredients from local suppliers.
We cook everything from scratch, breakfasts, lunches, cakes and savouries.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, cooking and baking.
Being able to bake is an important part of this position.
Working hours are 7am - 3.30pm. Weekend working will be required.
NO EVENINGS OR SPLIT SHIFTS.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes following standard recipes
- Assist in menu planning and development
- Ensure food safety standards are met at all times
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Monitor and manage kitchen inventory
- Collaborate with the restaurant team to deliver an excellent dining experience
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant setting
- Proficient in meal preparation and cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
