Warehouse Administrator
£28,000 | Office Based | Wellingborough | 2pm to 1-pm Monday to Friday
The Role
If you're the sort of person who spots when a number doesn't quite look right, enjoys keeping things organised, and gets a little bit too satisfied from a perfectly updated spreadsheet, keep reading.
We're looking for a Warehouse Administrator who'll become the glue between the warehouse, transport, suppliers and the wider business. You'll be making sure stock records are accurate, paperwork is spot on, deliveries run smoothly and nothing falls through the cracks.
This isn't a role where you'll spend the day making coffee or filing paperwork from 1998. You'll be at the heart of a busy logistics operation where what you do genuinely matters.
What You'll Be Doing
Maintaining accurate stock records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Processing inbound and outbound paperwork including delivery notes, manifests and pick lists
Booking and coordinating deliveries and collections with transport providers
Preparing shipping documentation and dispatch paperwork
Investigating stock discrepancies and helping resolve inventory issues
Supporting stock counts and annual stock takes
Updating WMS, ERP systems and Excel reports
Producing daily, weekly and monthly operational reports
Monitoring outstanding tasks and system alerts
Acting as a key point of contact for suppliers, transport companies and internal teams
Supporting warehouse managers with reporting and documentation
Ensuring paperwork is compliant, accurate and audit-ready at all times
What You'll Need
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics administration role
Ability to commence work ASAP (1 to 2 weeks notice is acceptable)
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP software
Understanding of transport and warehouse documentation
Brilliant attention to detail—you'll notice the things other people miss
Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Confidence communicating with colleagues, suppliers and transport providers
A proactive approach to solving problems rather than waiting for someone else to fix them
A positive attitude and willingness to muck in when needed
Ability to commit to a 2pm-10pm shift Monday to Friday
What You Might Not Like
Let's be honest—this role isn't for everyone.
Some days are busy. Really busy. Phones ring, deliveries change, transport gets delayed and someone, somewhere, will inevitably ask where pallet number 247 is.
If you don't enjoy working to deadlines, dislike spreadsheets, or accuracy isn't your strong point, you'll probably find this frustrating.
But if you like being the person who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, you'll absolutely thrive.
What To Do Next
If you've read this thinking, "That's me." then I'd genuinely love to hear from you.
Send over your CV and let's have a chat. If your experience ticks the right boxes, I'll tell you exactly what the role involves—the good bits and the challenges—because nobody likes turning up on day one to discover it's nothing like the advert.
