AMA South Ltd is looking for a creative and ambitious Digital Marketing Apprentice to join their growing omnichannel retail business specialising in trade tools, hardware, and accessories. Gain hands-on experience in online marketplaces, and digital marketing campaigns while studying to achieve a Multiple-Channel Marketer L3 Apprenticeship.
What you will do:
- You will play an active role in managing and optimising the company online presence across platforms such as Amazon and Shopify, while helping to drive online sales and customer engagement.
- You will also gain valuable insight into the retail operation as part of the role will be as a trade counter assistant, providing a well-rounded understanding of the business and its customers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager contributing ideas toward the company’s emerging e-commerce strategies
- Assist with digital marketing tasks such as updating social media platforms, creating engaging content, and supporting online campaigns.
- Social Media: Create and schedule content across all social channels
- Website & Shopify: Update product listings, images, and content on the online store
- Content Creation: Write posts, promotions, and basic graphics to support sales
- Campaigns: Assist with email marketing and seasonal promotions
- Reporting: Track engagement and helping monitor what's working
- Support merchandising activities by organising displays, stock replenishment, and
- ensuring the shop floor remains tidy and inviting
- Provide excellent customer service at the trade counter, including greeting customers, answering queries, and assisting with product selections.
- Manage sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and processing payments efficiently.
Who you will be:
- No formal experience required although an enthusiasm for marketing and social media and a good knowledge of the different platforms used in e-commerce are essential.
- Someone who will be confident and knowledgeable enough to contribute ideas and strategies to reach the company’s marketing goals
- Someone who is willing to learn and grow with the business and committed to studying and achieving their Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 qualification.

Working Week: 40 hours per week over 5 days Monday to Friday. Some flexibility for Saturday/Sunday depending on the needs of the business. Includes minimum of 6 hours study with some attendance at Chichester College.

Qualifications Required: GCSE Math and English minimum grade 4 required to be eligible for this apprenticeship
Future Prospects: There is possibility for ongoing employment and progression for the applicant on successful completion of the apprenticeship.
About the Employer: AMA South Ltd is a company based in Emsworth, England, that operates in the building materials and construction supply sector. What you need to know:
- This is an 18-month apprenticeship plus 3 months end point assessment.
- Applicants need to be resident in the UK for a minimum of 3 years prior to the start of learning and have work authorisation for the UK.
- Applicants will not be eligible to apply if they have already achieved a qualification which is equal to or higher thank the apprenticeship standard on offer.
- Applicants should ideally be resident in the area local to the apprenticeship opportunity or be a sensible commuter distance to the Emsworth address and the College campus.
- Applicants will be expected to commit to the learning and stay to the end of the apprenticeship.
- Study will be work based although some attendance will be required at Chichester College.
- Emsworth Train Station is a short walk from the office.

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £8.00 per hour (As of the 1st April 2025). This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-to-18-year-old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their ages applies.
Pay: £16,640.00 per year
