Property Caretaker (live in)
1 year contract potential to be extended
Full time 40 hours per week
Salary per annum £30,000 depending on experience
We are seeking a reliable, practicable and self-motived Property Caretaker to oversee the day-to-day upkeep and security of a private farm property in the Pencaitland area. This is a live in position with a well-maintained 1-bedroom furnished apartment provided as part of the employment package (you will be responsible for all utilities payments).
Key Responsibilities:
- General property and grounds maintenance
- Monitoring security and reporting any issues
- Basic landscape duties (grass cutting, strimming)
- Routine repairs and maintenance tasks
- Maintaining farm buildings, yards and access areas
- Monitoring utilities and site infrastructure
- Assisting with seasonal maintenance projects
- Out of season you will be responsible for the general maintenance of our other flats
- Ensuring the property is kept tidy, safe and presentable at all times
- Responsible for all unt in property
Candidates requirements:
- Previous experience in property maintenance estate management, farming or a similar role
- Practical skills and ability to undertake general repairs
- Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment is desirable
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Full clean UK drivers licence
- Reliable trustworthy and security conscious
