Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cabinet Maker/Joiner to join our skilled woodworking team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bespoke cabinetry, joinery, and carpentry, with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship. Duties
- Fabricate customised cabinets, furniture, and joinery components according to precise specifications and drawings
- Assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to ensure high standards of quality and durability
- Operate a variety of hand tools such as chisels, saws, drills, and screwdrivers with precision and safety awareness
- Utilise Joinery skills for framing, fitting, and finishing joinery elements
- Conduct on-site installation of cabinetry and furniture, ensuring accurate fitting and alignment
- Perform heavy lifting when handling large or bulky materials safely and efficiently
- Assist with related construction tasks such as roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, or construction painting as required for project completion
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Skills
- Proven expertise in fabrication, assembly, and joinery techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in woodworking and carpentry
- Strong knowledge of carpentry principles and joinery methods
- Experience with roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems or construction painting is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and efficiently during fabrication or installation processes
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in measuring, cutting, fitting, and finishing tasks
- Require to hold a CSCS Card
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
- Prior experience working on bespoke cabinetry projects or similar high-end joinery work is highly desirable
