Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative
Contract Type: Full Time/Permanent
Hours of work: 36 hours per week (Seasonally Adjusted Hours – 40 Hours per week over 5 days April – September & 32 Hours per week over 4 days October – March)
Salary: £25,726.13 per annum
Location: Telford
The Role:
We are looking for an individual who can undertake high quality grounds maintenance and landscaping duties across the Group’s portfolio of properties.
You will be expected to:

Use a variety of machinery, equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.

Perform tasks such as:
-
Grass cutting
-
Pruning shrubs and plants
-
Weeding
-
General garden and grounds upkeep
-
Work to a high standard of quality and professionalism.

Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
What You will Need:
You will need to demonstrate:
-
A full, clean driving licence.
-
Ability and confidence to drive a 35cwt pick-up vehicle.

Relevant horticultural knowledge and practical experience.
-
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
-
Strong people skills, including a tactful and professional approach when dealing with tenants.

The ability to show empathy and understanding of the organisation's social purpose and values.

Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS Check.
Desirable Requirements:

A pesticide application licence (e.g., PA1/PA6).
-
Experience and qualification to tow trailers.
