The Cottage Kitchen is an independently owned coffee shop and bistro in St. Andrews. We are open 7 days a week and we serve breakfast, lunch and delicious homemade cakes throughout the day. We have seasonal menus and use local suppliers and make the food as fresh as possible in-house.
We are currently recruiting a full time chef to work in our busy kitchen and help us out with the bistro and our outside catering company. The candidate should share our passion for food, work well in a team and have 2 years’ experience in a fast paced environment. As we do our own baking, someone who has a passion for or experience in that area would be advantageous.
The candidate will gain experience in patisserie, butchery, line cooking and baking. They will learn about working with allergens, ordering from suppliers, organising sections from ordering to point of sale, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and working within a brigade.

We are open seven days a week and our opening hours are 8:30am to 5pm which allows our staff a unique good work-life balance, rare in hospitality. 32-40 hours per week on offer with the option of more depending on the candidate.
