The Role
As a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll support the Maintenance Manager in carrying out repairs, upkeep, and safety checks throughout the hotel. This hands-on role is perfect for someone practical, reliable, and detail-oriented, with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic. Please note this role is 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with routine maintenance and repairs, including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and decorating tasks
Carry out daily checks on lighting, heating, air conditioning, and safety systems
Support with general upkeep of hotel interiors and exteriors
Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and staff reports of issues
Help maintain a tidy, safe, and well-organised maintenance storage area
Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with health and safety standards
Assist with setting up or moving furniture, equipment, or deliveries as needed
Work with external contractors when on site and ensure proper support and supervision
Keep maintenance logs up to date in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager
