We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at Trattoria No4, our independent Italian restaurant in the heart of Braunton.
We’re looking for a strong chef who takes pride in their food, works well under pressure and wants to play an important role in the future of our kitchen and restaurant.
Working closely with the Head Chef, you’ll help lead the kitchen through busy services, maintain consistency and quality, and ensure the kitchen runs smoothly day to day. You’ll also need the confidence to take charge and lead service in the Head Chef’s absence.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a strong Chef de Partie role with the ability to step up.
- A genuine passion for cooking and producing high-quality food.
- Confidence working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
- Strong organisation, communication and leadership skills.
- High standards of food quality, consistency, presentation and hygiene.
- The ability to support, motivate and work alongside the rest of the kitchen team.
- Someone reliable, hardworking and calm under pressure.
- Experience with Italian or Mediterranean cuisine is desirable.
