Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Staff / Dessert Maker to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing a variety of desserts and assisting with food production in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and food preparation, with a keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a range of desserts, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards
- Assist in food production tasks, including ingredient preparation, mixing, and cooking
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Follow recipes accurately and ensure consistency in dessert offerings
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and other appliances
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with general kitchen duties as required
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and waste is minimised through proper handling practices
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or preparation within a restaurant or bakery setting is preferred
- Knowledge of baking techniques and dessert presentation is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices in a commercial kitchen environment
- Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced culinary setting is advantageous
- Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications will be considered an asset but are not essential for the right candidate
