We have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Co-ordinator based at our Strood depot.
In this role you would be expected to achieve customer satisfaction by proactively liaising with customers, ensuring that their requirements are met in an efficient and profitable way, and securing authorisation and payment for the work undertaken.
This role is crucial as you are the point of contact for our service customers both face to face and over the telephone.
Key responsibilities include: -
· Estimate parts and labour required to complete repairs
· Obtain authority to carry out repairs on customer vehicles.
· Record the authority detail on the job WIP screen
· Liaise with technicians and foreman regarding work that is authorised for repair
· Order parts required when applicable
· Liaise with customers over the phone and at the service desk
Essential Qualities include:-
· Previous commercial vehicle trade experience
· Experience of customer facing role
· Literacy and numeracy skills
· Computer literate (word, excel, email etc)
· Team player
· Excellent communication (written/face to face/telephone/email etc)
· Interpersonal skills
· Ability to build and maintain good relationships with customers
· Well organised, efficient and the ability to prioritise workloads
· Ability to deal with customers in difficult situations
· Able to use own initiative
· Be able to work under pressure in a busy environment
· Ability to deliver excellent pro-active customer service
· Problem solving skills
· Organisational, planning and follow up skills
· Accuracy and attention to detail
· Business awareness
· Confident, professional manner
Desirable Qualities include:-
- Knowledge of ADP/Kerridge dealer systems
- Recent Workshop Coordinator experience
- Commercial Vehicle dealership experience
- Technical knowledge of commercial vehicles
