Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Installation supervisor/team leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installation of shelving, pallet racking, cantilever & other storage systems at client sites, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities
- Prepare work areas by organising tools, materials, and equipment necessary for installation tasks.
- Install products or systems according to technical specifications, drawings, and safety guidelines.
- Conduct site surveys prior to installation to assess site conditions and plan the installation process effectively.
- Test installed systems to ensure proper functioning and troubleshoot any issues that arise during or after installation.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including measurements, materials used, and any modifications made during installation.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding the progress of work and address any questions or concerns professionally.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all team members and clients.
- Assist in training or mentoring new team members as required, sharing knowledge of installation procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading a pallet racking team is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards troubleshooting on-site issues.
- Good physical fitness, capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for travel between sites.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional approach when liaising with clients and team members.
- Commitment to health and safety standards, demonstrating attention to detail in all aspects of work. Pay: From £160.00 per day
