Domiciliary Care Assistant – Permanent Role
Location: Barnsley & Surrounding Areas
Contract: Permanent – Full-time & Part-time Hours Available
Pay: £13.21/hour (weekdays) plus weekend enhancements
Additional: Paid travel time + mileage allowance + pension

About the Role
As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you’ll provide one-to-one care and support to people in their own homes across Barnsley and nearby areas.
You’ll support multiple clients throughout your shift — a mix of single calls and double-up calls with another carer.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
- Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition
- Medication support
- Mobility assistance and safe moving & handling
- PEG feeding (if trained)
- Supporting clients with dementia, end-of-life care, or complex needs
- Recording clear and accurate notes using our app-based system
- Promoting independence, dignity, and choice in everything you do
What You’ll Need
- You must drive and have access to your own vehicle during shifts
- Must hold appropriate business car insurance
- At least 6 months’ paid care experience (domiciliary, care home, or hospital)
- Two references (one from your most recent employer)
- Excellent English communication (spoken, written, and reading)
- A caring, professional attitude and ability to work independently
- Right to work in the UK – we are unable to offer sponsorships
