Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Childcare Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children's development and well-being, providing high-quality care in a nurturing environment. This role involves working closely with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a safe, engaging, and educational experience.
Duties
- Manage your own department on a daily basis.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional development
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, rest periods, and outings to ensure their safety at all times
- Support children's individual needs through personalised care and attention
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a welcoming environment
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Contribute to the organisation's policies on child protection and health & safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in childcare, nannying, or teaching roles involving children of various ages
- Excellent knowledge of child development principles and childcare best practices
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging activities and manage daily routines effectively
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive approach to caring for children
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Relevant childcare qualifications or certifications
