About the role
- Orchard House is a short-term crisis support house based in Midsomer Norton, providing 24 hour support to both individuals leaving psychiatric care (step-down) and individuals needing support to avoid psychiatric hospital admission (step-up).
- You will support people staying at the house to develop their own strategies to enhance their mental health and wellbeing before they return to their own communities.
- This role will consist of working variable shifts to cover staff absence and holiday, including weekday, weekend, evening and sleep-in shifts. Weekday and overnight/sleep-in availability is essential.
Location: Midsomer Norton (BaNES)
Hours: Variable shifts (Zero Hours)
Salary: £12.71 + additional £55 per sleep in
Role Responsibilities
- To supply support for contacted staff absence by agreeing to work shifts including mornings and afternoon/evening shifts, plus sleep-in duties. Weekday and overnight/sleep-in availability is essential.
- Provide person centred support through appropriate interventions and jointly agreed action planning
- To communicate events/incidents to relevant parties
- To maintain good record keeping and communication at all times
