Nursery Assistant – Key Job Duties
Support the Nursery Practitioners in delivering a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children
Supervise children during play, learning activities, meals, and rest times
Assist with planning and setting up age-appropriate activities that support early learning and development
Help maintain children’s personal hygiene, including nappy changing and toilet training
Prepare and serve snacks and meals, following food hygiene and allergy procedures
Observe children’s behaviour and development and report concerns to senior staff
Promote positive behaviour and encourage social skills and independence
Ensure health, safety, and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
Clean, tidy, and organise play areas, equipment, and resources
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and team members
Assist with record-keeping, daily logs, and accident reports as required
Support children’s emotional wellbeing and provide comfort when needed
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
