About the Role
Due to resignation, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Kitchen Manager / Chef to lead our kitchen team and deliver exceptional dining experiences for our residents. This is a hands-on role combining leadership responsibilities with active cooking duties.
Key Responsibilities
Menu Development: Create innovative, nutritious menus tailored to residents’ preferences and dietary needs.
Resident Engagement: Gather and respond to resident feedback to continually improve meal quality and satisfaction.
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure full adherence to HACCP principles and maintain accurate documentation.
Demonstrate knowledge and application of IDDSI guidelines for texture-modified diets.
Team Leadership:
Manage kitchen rotas and supervise the kitchen team effectively.
Provide training and support to maintain high standards of food safety and service.
Operational Excellence:
Develop and implement robust cleaning schedules.
Oversee ordering and stock management to ensure cost efficiency and minimal waste.
Supernumerary Duties:
8 hours dedicated to planning, administration, and team development every Monday.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Chef or Kitchen Manager in a care setting or similar environment.
Strong understanding of HACCP and IDDSI standards.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Ability to create menus that are both appealing and compliant with dietary requirements.
A passion for delivering outstanding food and service to residents.
Start Date & Induction
The successful candidate will start in late September or early October 2026.
You will receive induction alongside a Chef, ensuring full understanding of our kitchen operations, standards, and resident preferences.
