We are a warm, welcoming, and nurturing nursery dedicated to providing outstanding care and learning opportunities for children. Due to internal promotions we have a room leader post . We are looking for a passionate and experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner who can confidently lead a room and lead the practice of others, creating a safe, engaging, and organised environment for both children and staff.
The Role
As a Room Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the room. You will inspire your team, model outstanding practice, support children’s development, and ensure all planning, observations, and room organisation are completed to a high standard.

Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily running of the room
- Lead the practice of other practitioners, offering support, guidance, and encouragement
- Create a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for children
- Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS
- Complete observations, assessments, and children’s learning records
- Ensure the room is organised, well-presented, and fully prepared each day
- Support and mentor team members to maintain high standards of practice
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene
- Ensure all records and documentation are accurate and up to date
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years
- Previous nursery or early years experience
- Experience leading or supporting within a room
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively
- A positive and professional attitude
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
