Job Purpose
To operate a number of different engineering manufacturing machines in our production department and to provide general operational support.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· To receive and check materials for production.
· To set machine in accordance with requirements.
· To operate a range of engineering manufacturing machinery.
· To check and ensure the quality of product is to standard.
· To complete records and documentation as required.
· To maintain good housekeeping standards.
· To report any concerns to the Team Leader.
· To ensure an effective handover to following shifts where appropriate.
· To work flexibly as part of the manufacturing team and to support other team members as required.
· In all activities, to comply with quality, health & safety and environmental rules and policies.
As a term of your employment, you may be required to undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required of you in the post and department mentioned above or in a comparable post in any of the Company’s other departments.
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
· Experience of milling, turning or any other engineering machinery operation.
· The ability to use measuring equipment such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
· Experience of producing a detailed quality product.
· The ability to meet high standards on a consistent basis.
· A self-motivated and focused attitude.
· The ability to work flexibly within the team and to support team members.
· The ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings.
Pay: Up to £13.45 per hour
