Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose faults using schematics and mechanical knowledge
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Assemble new machinery or parts as required, ensuring adherence to specifications
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely during maintenance or installation procedures
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment status
- Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical issues to minimise downtime
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing operational concerns promptly and professionally
Skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems and machinery types
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and assembly
- Experience with equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and diagnostics
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions
