Wheathampstead Golf Village is a welcoming and family-friendly venue, home to a 9-hole golf course, 9-hole disc golf and foot golf course, along with our café and restaurant called The 10th Hole Cafe. We are committed to providing a fantastic experience for all our visitors and are now looking for a Clubhouse Assistant to join our team.
About the Role
As a Clubhouse Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive a warm welcome and excellent service. Your duties will include handling bookings, preparing and serving coffees, and serving alcohol in our café/bar area. We’re looking for someone friendly, reliable, and willing to get stuck in!
Perfect for a summer job or someone looking for weekend work.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, manage bookings, and answer enquiries.
- Food & Beverage: Prepare and serve barista-style coffee, serve alcoholic drinks (must be 18+), and assist with food service.
- Till & Bookings: Process payments accurately and manage online/phone bookings.
- General Housekeeping: Keep the clubhouse, café, and bar area clean, tidy, and well-stocked.
- Teamwork: Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
What We’re Looking For
- A friendly and approachable personality with great customer service skills.
- Barista experience is a plus, but not essential – training provided.
- Must be 18 or over to serve alcohol.
- Basic computer skills for processing bookings and payments.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- An interest in golf, disc golf or foot golf would be a bonus!
