Join the Team at Leisure Lakes Bikes – Thurrock
We are seeking proactive, hard-working, and computer-literate individual with a passion for cycling to join our Sales and Workshop team.
Mechanic Candidates should have strong technical and mechanical knowledge, with experience in bicycle maintenance, servicing, and e-bike diagnostics within a busy workshop environment.
The ideal candidate will be conscientious, dedicated, and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship with excellent attention to detail. You must be capable of problem-solving, managing your workload effectively, and working independently when required.
General IT competency is essential, as you will be required to use our workshop management systems to manage bookings, customer records, and workshop schedules.
Cytech Level 2 qualification and above is desirable
Sales Candidates will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and supporting the day-to-day operation of our store. You will be working on a busy shop floor, assisting customers with product advice, answering questions, and helping riders find the right solutions for their needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing outstanding customer service and product knowledge
- Operating our workshop diary and booking system
- Using the EPOS till system
- Managing stock and assisting with stock takes
- Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers
- Undertaking general shop duties to support the smooth running of the store

Working Hours
Our stores operate between five and seven days per week, depending on location.
Team members typically work an average of 35–40 hours per week across five days. Regular weekend and bank holiday working will be required as part of a split shift rota between the hours of 9am-8pm.
Salaries
Mechanic - Starting range between £13.31-£14 Per Hour DOE
Sales - Starting wage £13.31
