AFTER SCHOOL CLUB PLAYWORKER
Hours of work: from 10 hours per week (3pm – 5:30pm)
Monday to Thursday/Friday.
Holiday Entitlement
Overtime available in school holidays - Day rate of min. £80 per day
Our Premier Wraparound centres are Ofsted registered and can provide high quality out of school care for the parents. With this in mind we are looking for an outstanding applicant with experience to lead one of our venues.
We are looking for:
· Individuals that love working with children, are resilient and passionate about making a difference and seeing children thrive
· Enthusiastic, kind well-motivated individuals
· You must be a team player that is reliable and confident working collaboratively with all members of the community.
· Willing to undertake any relevant training including first aid and food and hygiene
· Have high personal expectations and dedication to achieve the best with the children we care for
The successful candidate will need to:
· Have good Literacy and Numeracy skills, able to support children in reading writing and maths as they will be allocated time to continue with their learning during the session.
· Will be able to prepare healthy snacks for the children
· Participate in a range of activities with the children during sessions both inside and outside.
· Be able to assist with the planning of activities, supporting and engaging with children during the sessions.
· Will have a general understanding of play work principals and seven characteristics of learning
Desirable:
· Experience of working within a play-based setting
· Ability to work on own initiative
· Appropriate child protection training
· Current 12-hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate
. Food Hygiene Certificate
· Appropriate Level 2 (or above) qualification (childcare related)
