Duke's Saloon is Newcastle's newest Western- inspired bar, bringing a taste of Texas to the heart of the city. With live country music, karaoke and a lively atmosphere spread across two floors and an outdoor terrace, Duke's is set to become one of Newcastle's most exciting nightlife destinations.
We're looking for confident, energetic bartenders who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working as part of a lively, guest -focused team. You'll play a key role in delivering great service, keeping the bar running smoothly, and helping create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest. If you're someone who enjoys good music, good people, and a bit of organised chaos, you'll fit right in.
responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Ensure all drinks are prepared to standard quality and presentation
- Keep the bar clean and organised
- Manage cash register transactions efficiently and accurately
- Monitor guest consumption levels and promote responsible drinking
- Contribute to a positive and enjoyable environment for guests
What we're looking for:
- Previous bar experience is helpful but not essential
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Friendly and approachable personality
- Available to work evenings and weekends
- good communication and teamwork skills
- interest in hospitality and customer service
- A bit of personality - whether that's a great sense of humour, a love for music, or just bringing good energy to the team
