Are you an organised, approachable administrative lead with strong financial acumen and a keen eye for detail? Invicta Primary School is seeking a dependable Office Manager & Finance Officer to play a vital operational role in our school.
Working closely with the School Business Manager, you will act as a key right hand support, balancing the day to day supervision of a busy school office with accurate, high quality financial administration. As part of a two site school environment, you will work alongside our established office management team to ensure efficient, consistent, and welcoming service standards across our operations. While this role is primarily based at our Deptford site, all staff are expected to be flexible to work across both our Deptford and Blackheath sites as business needs demand.
From line managing admin staff and supporting recruitment onboarding to handling invoice runs, bank reconciliations, payroll returns, and audit preparation, this is a varied and rewarding role where your precision and structure directly keep the school running smoothly.
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a calm, proactive communicator who thrives on accuracy and clear processes. You will ideally have experience supervising staff in a school or similar setting, alongside strong bookkeeping or finance administration skills. Experience of using accounting software, spreadsheets, and Management Information Systems (MIS) is desirable, as is the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment. Whilst school experience is desirable, we also welcome applications from candidates with strong financial experience as training will be provided.
In return, we offer a supportive, collaborative working environment where your contribution is valued and your professional development is encouraged.
