The Role:
The Textile Cutter will work in the cutting room of a busy manufacturing facility, preparing and cutting fabrics to support the production needs of the sewing department. The role involves measuring materials accurately, working from CAD drawings and production plans, following specifications, and ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
· Laying up fabrics for cutting
· Working from CAD drawings, templates, layouts, and production plans
· Measuring accurately using both metric and imperial units
· Cutting materials accurately to specification
· Following work instructions and manufacturing specifications
· Learning and using new software packages
· Maintaining production throughput for the sewing department
Required Skills
· Good attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Willingness to learn new systems and processes
