Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Hotel Receptionist to join our team. This pivotal role involves welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a welcoming demeanour, and a strong understanding of hospitality standards. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist our diverse clientele. The successful applicant will be committed to delivering outstanding guest services in a courteous and efficient manner, contributing to the overall reputation of our establishment.
The hours will be 5 days over 7, working shift 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications via phone or online systems
- Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to guests
- Handle guest enquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of guest details and billing information
- Answer incoming calls with proper phone etiquette and direct calls appropriately
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared and maintained
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and reporting as required
- Support the team during busy periods by providing excellent guest service at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel reception or customer service within the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential
- Strong communication skills in English; additional languages (multilingual or bilingual) are advantageous
- Familiarity with reservation management systems and front desk software is beneficial
- Knowledge of good phone etiquette and guest service principles is essential
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer satisfaction is desirable
- A professional attitude combined with organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
