Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food safety, barista techniques, and customer service within a vibrant café setting. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, adhering to company standards.
- Assist customers with menu selections, take orders accurately, and process payments efficiently.
- Ensure all food safety standards are maintained at all times, including proper handling and storage of food items.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or salads as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Manage stock levels of supplies and notify management when replenishments are needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly and addressing any enquiries or concerns promptly.
- Follow time management practices to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or working in a food service environment is desirable but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is beneficial.
- Experience in serving customers efficiently while maintaining professionalism is preferred.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
