Role Overview
As Second Pizza Chef, you’ll be the Head Pizza Chef’s right hand playing a key role in supporting and leading our kitchen team. You’ll help shape the culinary direction of our menu, ensure smooth daily operations, and deliver consistently outstanding dishes. This is an exciting opportunity to grow with us, take ownership of your craft, and be part of a fresh new journey in central London.
Key Responsibilities
- Menu Development: Help execute and evolve our menu, create seasonal specials, and stay ahead of food trends.
- Quality Control: Uphold the highest standards, presentation, and consistency in every dish.
- Kitchen Operations: Manage stock, oversee ordering, and maintain a clean, efficient, and organised kitchen.
- Team Leadership: Support, train, and motivate your team, fostering a positive and high performing culture.
- Compliance: Ensure full adherence to food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
- Cost & Waste Management: Monitor food costs, reduce waste, and work within budget guidelines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with restaurant leaders on menu planning, events, and guest experience.
- Guest Interaction: Occasionally engage with diners to share our story and gather feedback. Qualifications/ Experience
- Proven experience as Second Chef in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Pizza-making expertise is essential.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Confident in stock management.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene standards.
- Creative and detail-oriented, with a love for cooking and innovation.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
