About the Role
Joy Sports Academy is looking for enthusiastic, reliable and caring staff to join our growing team delivering after-school wraparound care across primary schools in Harrow, starting in September 2026.
We are recruiting multiple staff members for a number of school locations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for sports coaches, teaching assistants, teachers, childcare professionals, university students or anyone with experience working with primary-aged children who enjoys creating fun, safe and engaging activities.
What You Will Do
You will help deliver a fun and welcoming after-school programme for children aged approximately 4–11 years.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Leading sports and physical activities, such as football, multi-sports and team games
- Organising arts, crafts and creative activities
- Running fun indoor and outdoor games
- Supporting children with homework or quiet activities where appropriate
- Providing and supervising afternoon snacks
- Supporting positive behaviour and creating a safe environment
- Supervising children throughout the session
- Completing registers and following school collection procedures
- Setting up and tidying away equipment
- Following all safeguarding, health and safety and school policies
- Communicating professionally with school staff, parents and the Joy Sports Academy team
We Are Looking For

- Passionate about working with children
- Confident leading groups of primary-aged children
- Able to deliver fun and engaging activities
- Comfortable managing children's behaviour positively
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Available for regular weekday afternoon work during term time
Previous experience working in a school, nursery, childcare, sports club, holiday camp or similar setting is desirable but not essential.
Sports coaching, childcare, teaching or creative activity qualifications are an advantage.
An Enhanced DBS check will be required, or candidates must be willing to complete one as part of our safer recruitment process.

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
