We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and proactive Housekeeping & Maintenance Assistant to join our friendly hotel team.
This varied role combines supporting our housekeeping department with carrying out basic maintenance tasks to help keep the hotel running smoothly. You'll play an important part in ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, safe and welcoming environment while supporting both departments during busy periods.
No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys keeping active, takes pride in their work and is happy to turn their hand to a variety of tasks. Previous hotel experience is an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Working Hours
- Part-time
- Thursday, Friday & Sunday
- 9:00am – 3:00pm
Responsibilities
Assist the housekeeping team by:
- Stripping beds ready for cleaning.
- Transport bags of dirty laundry from guest rooms to the laundry area.
- Replenish housekeeping linen cupboards and cleaning supplies.
- Support housekeeping with general duties as required.
Carry out basic maintenance tasks including:
- Changing light bulbs.
- Unblocking toilets and sinks.
- Minor repairs to fixtures and fittings.
- Tightening handles, hinges and furniture.
- Painting touch-ups and other general maintenance duties.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Physically fit, as the role involves lifting, carrying and being on your feet throughout the day.
- Practical with good DIY or basic maintenance skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Friendly, positive and willing to help wherever needed.
Pay: £13.55 per hour
