Our client, an established Bindery firm based near Padstow are seeking a permanent electrical engineer to join their team.

Permanent position
The role:
-
Carry out planned repair and maintenance of printing and bookbinding machinery, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.

Conduct daily repair, maintenance, and inspection of ancillary site and building equipment.

Support installation and project work on equipment within the printing and bookbinding trade, as well as other site equipment.

Work independently and proactively to maintain high standards of maintenance and health & safety.

Assist in supervising and training apprentices.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance operations.

Undertake any reasonable duties associated with the role.

Perform regular testing (PAT, fixed wiring inspections, RCD testing) to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.

Recommend and implement improvements or modifications to electrical systems and machinery.
Qualifications and relevant experience:

Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of production machinery.

City & Guilds/NVQ in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).

Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and safe working practices.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
-
A proactive, flexible, and problem-solving approach.
-
Experience with industry standard systems and processes (ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, 27001).
