Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse, holding a valid NMC Pin, will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents of the nursing home. The role requires a professional who can maintain dignity, comfort, and respect for the elderly while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Registered Nurse will oversee all aspects of care planning and delivery, including medication administration, assessments, and supervision of care staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
- Provide and supervise high-quality nursing care tailored to the individual needs of residents, including care planning, assessments, and reviews.
- Monitor, assess, and evaluate the health and well-being of residents, and escalate issues to medical professionals where necessary.
- Ensure that care provided is in line with current best practices and complies with national standards and guidelines.
- Promote a person-centred approach to care that enhances the well-being of residents, respecting their choices and preferences.
Care Planning:
- Develop, implement, and review care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of residents' care plans, ensuring that they are updated in response to changing needs.
- Involve residents and their families in decisions about care plans to ensure that the care provided aligns with their wishes and needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential:
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with a valid NMC Pin.
- Proven experience in a clinical or nursing home setting.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and the NMC Code of Practice.
- Ability to manage medication administration in a safe and timely manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and committed to upholding residents' dignity and rights.
Desirable:
- Experience in elderly or dementia care.
- Additional clinical qualifications or specialist training.
