We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and proactive qualified dental nurse with good communication skills to join our reputable private practice and friendly team in Romford.
Duties Include:
- Set-up and prepare the treatment room .Prepare the necessary materials and instruments, making sure that equipment and instruments are in good working order and maintained regularly in accordance with practice policy.
- Segregate waste in accordance with the practice procedures and ensure its safe disposal
- Assist in taking radiographs (according to your level of training)
- Maintain and decontaminate equipment
- Liaise with reception over appointments for each patient.
- Escort patients from the waiting room to the surgery. Confirm the patient’s medical history is up-to-date
- Provide chair side support to the dentist, hygienist during treatment
- Monitor and maintain stock within the surgery as necessary, informing the head nurse or practice manager
- Liaising with the dentists, hygienists over orders or any shortages of materials
- Follow all dental ethical guidelines including all rules on confidentiality
- Check that all necessary laboratory work is returned and ready for each session
- Assist in decontamination room (Rota)
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Dental Nurse - Must have over 2+ years Qualified Experience.
- SOE software experience - Preferred
- Enthusiasm to work in Dentistry
- Be flexible with a positive work ethic
- Must have good communication skills
- Have excellent people skills
- Have a friendly, approachable disposition with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Be able to work well in a team, and use own initiative when needed.
- implant trained would be a bonus, not a must.
- Sedation Trained would be a bonus, not a must.
- Radiography qualifications would be a bonus, not a must.
Full Time:
Monday - Thursday
x1 Saturday per month
Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
