Alt-Energi is part of the Alt-Group, a growing engineering business specialising in renewable energy, commercial heating and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services.
We work with commercial and industrial clients across the UK, helping them maintain and maximise the performance of their renewable energy and heating assets. As demand for our services continues to grow, we're looking for an ambitious Business Development Executive to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a successful career in technical sales within a fast-growing engineering business.
The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities whilst managing enquiries generated by the business.
This is a varied role where you'll be expected to proactively develop your own customer base, prepare quotations and build long-term relationships with clients across a range of commercial sectors.
Full product and industry training will be provided, giving you the knowledge and confidence to sell our services effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking and relationship building.
- Follow up and convert enquiries generated through the business.
- Prepare quotations for maintenance agreements and reactive works.
- Manage your own sales pipeline from initial enquiry through to contract award.
- Build strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional services across the wider Alt-Group.
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure quotations are commercially and technically accurate.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
- Represent the business at customer meetings, networking events and industry exhibitions where required.
- Achieve individual sales and business development targets.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with the right attitude, ambition and willingness to learn.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous experience within a sales, customer service or business development role.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to pick up the phone and create new opportunities.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A positive, self-motivated attitude.
- The ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Previous experience within engineering, facilities management, renewable energy, construction or commercial maintenance would be advantageous but is not essential.
