About the Role:
Car On Automotive Group is looking for an Automotive Ecommerce Operations Manager to support the day to day performance of our online vehicle sales and digital retail operations in Cardiff.
This role is suited to an experienced ecommerce professional who understands how online inventory, pricing, lead management and customer experience connect within the automotive sector. You will work closely with sales, marketing, vehicle operations and technical teams to keep digital listings accurate, improve online conversion and support a smooth customer journey from initial enquiry through purchase.

Key Responsibilities:
Ecommerce Operations:
Manage daily online vehicle sales activity and make sure digital inventory, pricing and promotional information remain accurate.
Vehicle Listings:
Coordinate vehicle descriptions, specifications, photography, pricing and availability across websites and third party marketplaces.
Lead Management:
Monitor online enquiries and help ensure leads are routed quickly to the appropriate sales team.
Digital Trading:
Review online performance and identify practical ways to improve enquiry rates, conversions and customer engagement.
Pricing Updates:
Coordinate pricing changes and make sure advertised vehicle prices are consistent across digital channels.
Inventory Coordination:
Work with stock and vehicle operations teams to ensure online listings reflect actual vehicle availability.
Customer Journey:
Review the online buying journey and identify areas where customers may experience delays or confusion.
Campaign Support:
Support digital promotions, finance offers and vehicle campaigns in coordination with marketing colleagues.
Performance Reporting:
Track website traffic, enquiries, conversion rates, stock ageing and other key ecommerce measures.
Marketplace Management:
Maintain accurate listings and commercial information across relevant automotive marketplaces.
Issue Resolution:
Investigate listing, pricing or customer journey problems and coordinate with technical or operational teams to resolve them.
Process Improvement:
Review ecommerce workflows and recommend practical changes that improve accuracy, response times and digital sales performance.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
Several years of experience in ecommerce, automotive digital retail, online marketplace operations or a similar commercial role.
Automotive Knowledge:
Good understanding of vehicle sales, inventory, pricing and the digital customer journey is preferred.
Ecommerce Skills:
Experience managing online listings, digital platforms, lead flow and performance reporting.
Commercial Awareness:
Ability to understand how stock, pricing, promotions and customer response affect sales performance.
Digital Skills:
Comfortable using ecommerce platforms, spreadsheets, analytics tools and customer relationship management systems.
Organisation:
Ability to manage several digital priorities, maintain accurate information and meet agreed deadlines.
Problem Solving:
Ability to identify operational issues, investigate causes and coordinate practical solutions.
Communication:
Strong spoken and written English with the confidence to work across sales, marketing, finance and operations teams.
Attention to Detail:
Ability to review vehicle information, pricing, images, links and customer facing content carefully.
Mindset:
You are commercially aware, organised and improvement focused. You take ownership of digital trading performance, communicate issues early and look for practical ways to make the online vehicle buying journey more accurate and effective.
Pay: £3,900.00-£4,700.00 per month
