Overview
We are an independent village pharmacy in Wraysbury with a goal to provide exceptional patient-centred healthcare to our local community and are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will support the pharmacy in providing excellent patient care, dispensing medications, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. This role offers valuable experience in a professional healthcare environment and is ideal for individuals interested in pursuing a career in pharmacy or healthcare services. The position is paid and requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
Duties
- Provide excellent customer service, be polite + courteous to customers
- Offer informed advice on appropriate treatment of minor ailments and products
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Prepare medication labels and organise stock for easy retrieval
- Maintain accurate records of medication supplies and patient interactions
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Support inventory management, including stock checks and reordering supplies as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing prescriptions
Qualifications
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
- A genuine interest in patient care and healthcare services
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy support or healthcare are advantageous but not essential
